Waste-to-energy plant
LMSTEEL Consulting sagl, on behalf of the SPG Dry Cooling – Paharpur group, was entrusted with the detailed structural design of an Air Cooler Cabinet inside the Beringen waste-to-energy plant in Belgium. The plant consists of a single line with a potential of approximately 200,000 tons/year of RDF. The installation produces electricity with an installed power of 15 MWe and is equipped with dry fume treatment with SCR. In collaboration with the I4MMT Studio of Chiasso (TI), in charge of the design of the process lines, we have carried out the BIM 3D Design for Manufacturing modelling of approximately 190 tons of steel structures, gratings and parapets, and the development of the building envelope of the system made up of insulated sandwich panels and closing tinsmithery.
