Europa Unita Overpass - Bucarest

Construction Works has been completed on the construction of the new overpass in sector 4, 653 meters long, located at the intersection of Alexandru Obregia and Metalurgiei avenues with Turnu Măgurele street in the Romanian capital, Bucharest. The total cost of the infrastructure, which is part of the capital's traffic ring, is €14 million.

Designed and built to streamline traffic at one of the busiest intersections in the capital, the gate is equipped with two traffic lanes in each direction, arranged on a 15 meter wide roadway, as well as a unique lighting system, which transforms the entire construction into a fascinating architectural landmark. The superstructure of the passage, of mixed steel-concrete type, rests on four support piles and each of them has as a foundation eight piles drilled to a depth of 25 meters and with a diameter of 1.5 meters.

LMSteel Consulting provided Construction Design services following the specifications of the Executive project and supporting the Steel Manufacture in the study of the optimization of the joints in the metal carpentry.

The project was developed by creating 3D BIM geometric models with Tekla Structures.
