New Hangar X - Milano Linate Airport
The New Hangar X was inaugurated at Milan Linate Prime airport last May 2023, where Sirio, an aircraft maintenance and management company, will perform services in support of Sea Prime, the company of the Sea group which operates under the Milano Prime brand in the business aviation sector.
The new Hangar X, which boasts an area of 4,700 square meters and is the eleventh hangar at Milan's Linate Prime airport, was designed by One Works and built over twelve months by the Di Vincenzo Dino C. firm, under the supervision of the Sea Group infrastructure design and development team.
The new maintenance hangar has been designed to house the next generation of aircraft dedicated to business aviation and has environmental performance in line with the sustainability objectives of the SEA group.
The structural works mainly consist of the main body of the hangar and the office block with a C-shaped development, located along the two short sides and the long east side of the hangar itself; the two elements can be considered independent from a structural point of view, although attached to each other.
LMSteel Consulting provided the construction engineering services with the development of the 3D BIM model in LOD E, the construction design of all the metal carpentry structures, the construction management
The project was developed creaeting BIM 3D models with Tekla Structures.
